Error in Windows 10 1903 causes a black screen during RDP connection

Microsoft warned about an error in Windows 10 version 1903.

Because of this error, during the remote connection to a device with outdated graphics drivers, may appear a black screen.

One user affected by this error posted a screenshot showing how it looks when trying to connect via remote desktop to a vulnerable device.

“When initiating a RDP connection to devices with outdated graphics drivers, a black screen may appear. The problem may occur on systems with any version of Windows when connected remotely to a Windows 10-based device (1903) with an affected display driver, including drivers for integrated processors of the Intel 4 series”, – says Microsoft’s technical documentation.

Microsoft stated that this error first appeared in the cumulative update KB4497935 dated May 29, 2019 (build 18362.145) and has since affected Windows 10 1903 version.

Those who have encountered an error are advised to update their graphics drivers or wait for the next update.
